The Emporia State soccer team opened the season with a 1-0 win over Rockhurst Friday afternoon.
Hannah Woolery scored the seasons first goal in the 87th minute of play.
The Lady Hornets outshot Rockhurst 11-2 on goal.
The Lady Hornets will play Concordia St. Paul Sunday.
