Strong storms generated isolated severe weather in the area Thursday night, and another round of strong thunderstorms is not out of the question starting Friday night.
Severe weather is possible — although unlikely — from mid-evening Friday into early Saturday. The Storm Prediction Center has all area counties in a marginal severe weather risk, with high wind the main concern.
Storms Thursday brought quarter-sized hail to areas just north of Americus.
