The Emporia State soccer team defeated Concordia St. Paul 5-2 Sunday.
The Lady Hornets scored 4 goals in the 2nd half after trailing 2-1 at halftime to earn the win.
Aislinn Hughes scored the only 1st half goal to tie the match at 1.
In the 2nd half, Mackenzie Dimarco scored on a penalty kick and added a goal in the 82 minute of play. Kyleigh Roe scored a goal in the 66th minute of play. and Joanie Wescoat scored the final goal in the 84th minute of play. Emporia State outshot St. Paul 17-10 and 9-5 on goal. The Lady Hornets are 2-0 to start the season. They will play at Colorado State-Pueblo Friday and Colorado Christian College next Sunday.
