The Kansas City Royals held on for a 3-2 win over the Baltimore OriolesĀ Monday.
Baltimore took the early lead.
Hanser Alberto tied the game with a solo home run in the 5th inning. Baltimore retook the lead in the bottom of the 5th.
The Royals scored twice in the 7th to retake the lead.
Salvador Perez drove in a run with a bloop single and scored the go-ahead run on an Andrew Benintendi single. Benintendi also robbed a home run in the bottom of the 9th.
Royals and Orioles play again Tuesday night. Jackson Kowar will be the starting pitcher for the Royals with the first pitch at 6:05 pm. The game will be broadcast on KVOE 1400AM/96.9FM.
