Wichita Police now have announced a suspect in the deadly nightclub shooting from early Tuesday.
Keshawn Maurice Dawson, age 23 of Wichita, is already wanted on two felony warrants in Sedgwick County and can’t use a firearm — but Wichita Police say he used a semi-automatic handgun in the shooting into Enigma Club and Lounge.
34-year-old Preston Spencer of Wichita was killed in the incident. Five others suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

11 am Tuesday: Wichita Police reduces number of injured from seven to five after nightclub shooting
Wichita Police are still looking for the suspect in Tuesday morning’s fatal shooting at a nightclub. As they investigate, officers have trimmed the number of injured at the scene.
Wichita Police have identified a 34-year-old man, Preston Spencer of Wichita, as the person who died. Initially, seven people were listed as hurt, including two with life-threatening injuries. That number now stands at five. Updates on their conditions have not been released.
The early update had a suspect getting into a fight at Enigma Club and Lounge in Old Town before getting kicked out. The suspect apparently left the scene for a time but returned around 12:30 am and shot several rounds into the building.
Officers are looking for a man believed to be in his 20s and about 5-foot-9. Other descriptive information is currently pending. Officers are also working to get a suspect vehicle description.

6:15 am Tuesday: One dead, as many as seven hurt after Wichita nightclub shooting
At least one person is dead and seven others are hurt, including two with apparent life-threatening injuries, after a shooting in downtown Wichita shortly after midnight.
Wichita Police say a suspect got into a fight at Enigma Club & Lounge in Old Town Wichita and was kicked out of the club. He left the area before returning around 12:30 am. The suspect allegedly was outside the club and shot several times into the building.
Wichita Police say a 30-year-old man was killed. Two people suffered apparently life-threatening injuries. Three more were hospitalized with serious injuries. Two others received minor injuries.
