The Emporia High boys soccer team defeated Salina Central 3-0 in the semi-finals of the Titan Classic Friday.
Edwin Maciel scored the first goal in the first 5 minutes of play. Maciel added a 2nd goal. Alex Mosiman who assisted the first two goals scored the 3rd goal with the assist from Edwin Maciel.
Coach Victor Ibarra also credited the play on defense especially Senior Kaden Nguyen, Junior Giovanni Garcia, and Freshman Carter Granado. Goalies Junior Diego Reyes and Senior Alex Lemus combined on the shutout.
The Spartans will close out play in the Titan Classic Saturday playing for 3rd place.
