The Big 12 Conference today announced that Brigham Young University, the University of Central Florida, the University of Cincinnati, and the University of Houston will become members no later than the 2024-25 athletic year.
Commissioner Bob Bowlsby says the additions made good sense.
BYU said all its sports will begin Big 12 schedules in the 2023-24 athletic season.
The current American Athletic Conference teams Central Florida, Cincinnati, and Houston will join no later than July 1, 2024.
Big 12 Commissioner Bob Bowlsby also said that the conference has not ruled out further expansion.
