Christmas is still better than three months away, but the Emporia Area Chamber of Commerce has announced plans for the annual holiday parade.
Last year, the Chamber had plans to do a reverse parade — meaning people drove or walked past parked floats — as part of COVID-19 protocols, only to have to cancel the event outright due to the virus. This year, Chamber President Jeanine McKenna says the plan is for a normal parade format.
The theme is “Cheer Up, Dude, It’s A Grinch Christmas Parade.”
The parade is Nov. 30. McKenna says volunteers are always welcome to help with lineup and judging. Float entries are also welcome with a sign-up form available at www.emporiakschamber.org. Call the Chamber at 620-342-1400 with questions.
