Investigations are underway after three injury crashes reported in Emporia from early evening to the early overnight hours.
Emporia Fire and Emporia Police responded to all three wrecks. The first happened at Commercial and Logan shortly before 5:15 pm. Emporia Fire says one of the vehicles traveled through a field and wedged under a trailer home after the initial impact. The driver of that vehicle was extricated and taken to Newman Regional Health for treatment.
Shortly after 9:30 pm, a two-vehicle crash happened at Sixth and Rural after two vehicles collided in the intersection. One patient was taken to Newman Regional Health for treatment.
Shortly after midnight, a car and semi collided in the 400 block of South Weaver outside Hill’s Pet Nutrition. The car would up under the semi, but the patients declined hospital trips.
