There has been a delay in a preliminary hearing involving an Emporia man accused of rape.
Brice Obermeyer was set for a hearing Wednesday, but that was delayed at the defense request. The new hearing date is Nov. 15.
Obermeyer, 46, is accused of activity with a person in their early 50s this past summer. He’s currently charged with rape, aggravated sexual battery, aggravated burglary, lewd and lascivious conduct, criminal restraint and stalking.
The affidavit, or court narrative, is sealed.
