Flint Hills Community Health Center now has a drive-thru flu shot clinic on the calendar.
The event is Oct. 8 from 7:30 am to 4 pm. Residents ages six months and up can get vaccinated.
Marketing Manager Justin Ogleby says it’s important to get the flu shot every year, but perhaps more so than normal this fall.
The flu shot is free with most insurance providers. For uninsured residents, the flu shot will cost $30 and is payable by cash or check.
There will not be any special COVID-19 testing or vaccinations available during the drive-thru flu shot, but Ogleby says residents can schedule either a COVID-19 test or vaccination by calling the Health Center at 620-342-4864.
