Patient transfer times increased considerably week-to-week for Coffey Health System in Burlington.
Coffey Health System says it called 21 hospitals on average for patient care between Sept. 12-18, up from four the previous week and reflecting transfers of both COVID-19 and non-COVID patients for the first time in three weeks. Average transfer times shot up from 1.5 hours to 11 hours. The average transfer distance was 97 miles, down from the 110 miles the week earlier.
For other stats, there are seven hospitalized patients, of which none are vaccinated. There were 22 positive tests, down from 45 in the previous week. The 21 percent positivity rate was down from 30 percent for the previous week. One hundred five tests were conducted, down 46 from the prior week.
