Final preparations are lining up for Food-a-Palooza this weekend.
It’s the third time Flinthills Mall has hosted the event, and General Manager Clarence Frye says nearly 10 food trucks are confirmed with a wide range of food to sample.
Marketing Manager Heather Siebert expects a good time will be had by all.
The participating trucks are:
*Flint Hills Technical College Fusion
*Poppin 4 U Kettle Corn
*JD’s Woodfired Pizza
*Hogman’s Barbecue
*Daily Station
*Simonelli’s Mobile Kitchen
*Twisted Kitchen
*Lazy Butt BBQ
*Mis Antojitos
Frye says there will also be a contest involving Judge’s Choice and People’s Choice awards.
Activities go from 11 am to 3 pm Saturday, although trucks may depart earlier than 3 pm if wish. The setup is identical to the first Food-a-Palooza event from last year. A similar event earlier this year did not have the competition aspect.
