Local families will be packing up their tackle boxes and heading to Peter Pan Park Saturday.
Vamos a Pescar, a national grant-funded program that introduces Hispanic families to fishing, will be taking place at the park through the morning and early afternoon hours.
The event begins at 9:30 am and is organized in cooperation between What’s in Outdoors, the USD 253 Migrant Education program, Hispanics of Today and Tomorrow and the Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks and Tourism. Saturday will be the third installment of the program with prior events being held on May 1st and Aug. 21.
Activities will run until 12:30 pm.
