The Emporia High gymnastics team won their duel with Newton Thursday. It was a meet that was postponed earlier this season.
Individually Cadance Vincent placed 1st on the Vault.
Journey Walburn placed 1st on the beam and floor, 5th on the bar and vault, and 3rd all-around.
Laney Cooper placed 2nd on the vault, 3rd on the beam, 4th on the bar, floor, and all-around.
Hadleigh Mertens placed 4th on the beam and tied for 6th on the vault.
Amber Obermeyer placed 6th on the floor and tied for 6th on the vault.
Chloe Fisher placed 3rd on the bars and 5th on the floor.
Sara Chapman placed 6th on the bars.
The gymnasts go to Shawnee Mission North for a meet Tuesday.
