The Emporia Senior Center is officially closed for at least two weeks.
Director Ian Boyd made the announcement Monday, saying an employee tested positive recently for coronavirus. This means all staff will be quarantined while the center is closed.
If there are no other positive exposures or staffers exhibiting symptoms, the center will reopen Oct. 12. No further details will be divulged.
