The Kansas City Chiefs suffered their 2nd loss of the season yesterday, losing to the Los Angeles Chargers 30-24.
The Chargers took advantage of 4 Chiefs turnovers. The Chiefs turned the ball over 3 times in the first half and the Chargers scored 2 touchdowns to take a 14-0 lead. The Chiefs answered with 17 unanswered points on a Harrison Butker 34 yard field goal, 2-yard pass from Patrick Mahomes to Jody Fortson, and a 10-yard pass to Clyde Edwards Helaire.
The teams then traded scores Patrick Mahomes connected with Mecole Hardman for a touchdown to take a 24-21 lead. But a 4th turnover, an interception with under 2 minutes to play, and the score tied at 24, set up the final touchdown for the Chargers.
Patrick Mahomes says it’s hard to win in the NFL when you turn the ball over 4 times.
The Chiefs fall to 1-2 for the season they play at Philadelphia next Sunday.
Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid is doing well and in stable condition after leaving Arrowhead Stadium with an illness, the Chiefs announced Sunday night.
Reid had left the stadium in an ambulance due to feeling ill after Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers. The situation seemed to be more precautionary than serious, as Chiefs players were reportedly told their coach should be OK.
