Recent modest decreases continued for Lyon County’s active coronavirus caseload Friday.
Lyon County Public Health reported 84 new cases, 10 fewer than the 94 cases reported Wednesday, bringing the overall total to 5,320 since late last March. 86 recoveries were also reported dropping the county’s active caseload to 119.
Of the 119 active cases, 23 are considered breakthroughs meaning infections in fully vaccinated residents. Collectively, Public Health has identified 179 breakthrough cases.
92 individuals were vaccinated with Moderna, 49 with Johnson & Johnson and 38 with Pfizer.
Deaths were unchanged at 90 plus one case pending final cause information from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment. Active hospitalizations were also unchanged at four.
