The Emporia State mens cross country team finished 18th out of 36 teams and the women finished in 33rd place out of 37 teams at the University of Arkansas Chili Pepper Invitational Friday.
The men were led by Matthew Maki who finished in 34th place out of 327 runners.
The women were led by Jenna Ramsey who finished 44th out of 322 runners.
The Emporia State cross country teams will run at Fort Hays State next Saturday.
