Area school districts largely fared well in the state’s first-ever dashboard created after the formation of the Safer Classrooms Workgroup.
The new webpage, available to the public, offers a color-coded map as well as information about raw COVID infections per district, infection rate per 1,000 students, raw numbers of vaccinated students and vaccination rate per 1,000 vaccine-eligible students ages 12 and up. Other stats are for students ages 5-17.

Kansas Governor Laura Kelly says the dashboard is meant to give districts information that will help them make data-driven decisions to help bring down coronavirus numbers. Data will be released, along with the Kansas Department of Health and Environment’s other COVID-19 information, every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
