The Emporia State volleyball team was swept by Newman in straight sets Saturday evening.
Newman won 25-21, 25-14, and 25-21.
Emporia State Coach Bing Xu said it was not a good night.
The Emporia State volleyball team is off until Friday when they host Pittsburg State.
