Kansas States comeback attempt came up short in a 37-31 loss to Oklahoma Saturday. Kansas State Coach Chris Klieman was pleased with the effort.
The Wildcats trailed 34-17 with over 9 minutes to play.
Skylar Thompson, who made the surprise start, threw a touchdown pass to Landry Weber. After an Oklahoma 47 yard field goal, Malik Knowles returned a kick-off 93 yards for a touchdown. Oklahoma recovered the on-side kick and ran out the clock for the win.
Skylar Thompson finished the afternoon throwing for 320 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Kansas State is now 3-2 for the season and 0-2 in the Big-12. They will have a bye week next week.
