Washburn Rural rolled to a 45-9 win over the Emporia High football team Friday night.
Rural led 14-0 at the end of the 1st quarter. In the 2nd quarter, Emporia High could not stop the JR blues as they rolled to a 45-0 lead by halftime.
The lone Emporia High touchdown came in the 4th quarter on a Cam Geitz to Parker Leeds 77 yard touchdown pass.
The Spartans also recorded a safety for the final points.
With the loss, the Spartans fall to 1-4. Next Friday they play at Topeka Seaman.
