The Emporia High girls tennis team finished in 6th place at the Centennial League tournament Monday.
Individually the doubles team of Kaitlyn Velasquez and Lillee Frank finished in 8th place. The doubles team of Ashlyn Foraker and Kailey Reynoso finished in 12th place.
In singles play, Darian Chadwick finished 11th and Jayden Birk finished 14th.
Washburn Rural won the team title, Manhattan was 2nd, and Topeka Seaman 3rd.
The Lady Spartans will be playing in the Topeka Seaman hosted Regional tournament Saturday. The top 6 singles and doubles teams will advance to the 5A State tournament to be held in Emporia on October 15th and 16th.
