The Emporia High defense did its part but the offense could never get on track in a 22-6 loss at Topeka Seaman Friday night.
The lone score for the Spartans was a 52-yard pass from Cam Geitz to Parker Leeds.
The defense held Seaman to a touchdown and 2 field goals.
Seaman also scored on a fumble return for a touchdown and a safety.
The Spartans fall to 1-5 for the season. They will host Junction City next Friday.
