Over a week after four people were arrested outside Emporia following a pursuit out of Butler County, details are still pending about the incident.
Notably, the Butler County Sheriff’s Office has not released the names of the suspects or any preliminary information about how the Oct. 6 incident unfolded.
As the chase developed, Emporia Police, Lyon County deputies and Kansas Highway Patrol troopers got involved to help stop the vehicle in question as it moved northeast on the Kansas Turnpike. After stop sticks were used about five miles southwest of Emporia, the car stopped near Roads 160 and G with four people running from the scene. Two were captured shortly after they took off with two others captured after sunset.
