A new component to the Emporia State University School of Business will be officially unveiled Thursday.
The Bobbi and Steve Sauder Center for Entrepreneurial Development will have a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 4:30 pm. Steve Sauder, the owner of Emporia’s Radio Stations, credits Dean of the School of Business Ed Bashaw for the idea — and he’s glad he and his wife are in a position to add to the momentum inside the School of Business.
The new facility is in Cremer Hall in the same area as the Kansas Small Business Development Center and Studio E. Steve Sauder says this will help students, regardless of majors, develop entrepreneurial ideas or perhaps start their own businesses.
Besides the ribbon-cutting, the Emporia Area Chamber of Commerce will have a Business After Hours beginning at 5 pm. During that activity, people can visit the Sauder Center as well as the Kansas Business Hall of Fame, Kansas Small Business Development Center, Preston Family Student Complex, Roe R. Cross Conference Room and Studio E.
