The Emporia State basketball teams held their first official practices Wednesday.
Men’s Coach Craig Doty says they like to make practices as competitive as they can.
Even with 6 players who have started a game returning Coach Doty two of the new players have shown they are ready to compete for a starting spot.
Women’s Coach Toby Wynn says they will be working on ending games better.
For sophomore Tre’Zure Jobe her goal is to become a better leader.
The Emporia State women will open their season on November 1st at Notre Dame.
The Emporia State men open their season on November 3rd at Kansas.
