Emporia High volleyball hosts 9 team tournament. 4 of the teams are state-ranked. Washburn Rural is ranked #1 in 6a, Lawrence Free State is ranked 7th in 6A, Topeka Seaman is ranked 6th in 5A and Bishop Carroll is ranked 10th in 5A.
The Lady Spartans will play Bishop Carroll and Bonner Springs in pool play. Emporia High Senior Maddyn Stewart says this is the type of test they need.
Play begins Saturday morning at 9 am in the Emporia High gyms.
