The 5A state tennis tournament will wrap up Saturday at Emporia High School.
The two Emporia High doubles teams have been eliminated from the tournament.
Lillee Frank and Kaitlyn Velasquez received a first-round bye and were defeated in the 2nd round by the doubles team of Nutter and Renfro from Salina Central. They won their 1st consolation round match over Devena and LeJuerne from Shawnee Heights. They were eliminated by the duo of Kurland and Calcara of St. James Academy.
The doubles team of Ashlynn Foraker and Kailey Reynoso were defeated by the doubles team of Tantem and Pappa from Andover in the first round.
They were also eliminated by Kurland and Calcara of St. James Academy.
The final 12 doubles teams and singles players advance to medal play Saturday.
