New cases and recoveries were even in Lyon County Public Health’s latest COVID-19 data report.
Monday, Public Health reported 23 new cases bringing the overall total to 5,488 since late last March. 23 recoveries were also reported keeping the active case total at 84.
Of those 84 active cases, 16 are considered to be breakthroughs meaning infections in fully vaccinated residents. Collectively, Lyon County Public Health has identified a total of 223 breakthrough cases. 118 were vaccinated with Moderna, 62 with Johnson & Johnson and 43 with Pfizer.
Deaths were unchanged at 90 with one case still pending final cause information from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment. Active hospitalizations rose slightly from one to two.
