Sentencing is coming later this year for two individuals found guilty of charges stemming from a combination hit-and-run and kidnapping case from early August.
Mariah Lopez and Analysa Tamez appeared in Lyon County District Court Tuesday for pre-trial hearings at which time both individuals pled no contest to various charges. Lopez pled no-contest to a single count of criminal restraint, victim intimidation and marijuana possession while Tamez pled no contest to a felony count of leaving the scene of an accident, criminal restraint, intimidation of a victim and marijuana possession according to Lyon County Attorney Marc Goodman.
Both were found guilty of all counts.
Both Tamez and Lopez were charged after an incident on Aug. 2 where Emporia Police say both were in an SUV that struck a cyclist. Investigators says they then put the cyclist in the SUV, drove her around for roughly 30 minutes and then released her.
Sentencing is scheduled for December.
