If you were hoping to attend the “Farewell to the Spirits of Plumb Place” event this weekend and haven’t reached out for your ticket, well, the spirits didn’t move you fast enough.
Saturday’s paranormal event is sold out. This will be led by Flint Hills Paranormal, and senior investigator Brandy Nance says prior experience indicates a range of the unexplained can happen.
Flint Hills Paranormal has led investigations of Plumb Place twice before as part of an event it called Spooktember, and Nance is grateful for the opportunity as offered by the Plumb Place Steering Committee as led by the United Way of the Flint Hills. United Way Executive Director Mickey Edwards says it’s a chance to see Plumb Place one more time before it’s officially listed for sale at some point soon.
The paranormal investigation should begin around 7:45 am. Before that, the Lyon County History Center will lead tours of the facility starting at 6 pm. Freewill donations for the tours and proceeds from the paranormal investigation both will be funneled to the Plumb Place Board of Directors as it works to restore emergency services to women in crisis situations.
