Fundraising — in a couple different ways — is a key part of Homecoming activities at Emporia State University this weekend.
The annual Phi Delta Theta Pole Sit is currently underway at 12th and Commercial. The annual event raises funds for SOS and its annual operations. It continues until 10 am Saturday.
Meanwhile, the Together Forward fundraising campaign — first announced on Founders Day — will have an announcement as part of the Welcome Back Alumni! event at Plumb Hall shortly after 6 pm. The $50 million campaign already had generated over $42 million when it was announced. The campaign centers around three core pillars: high impact learning, attracting the best talents in arts and athletics and unrestricted support to students through the Together Forward fund.
