Believe it or not, there are several low-end chances for severe weather through the upcoming weekend.
The National Weather Service is tracking a marginal risk of severe weather south of US Highway 56 before sunrise Saturday. Hail is the main weather issue if storms move in overnight.
Storms could redevelop across much of the area Saturday evening after sunset. Currently, there is a slight risk of severe hail along and north of a line from Matfield Green to Madison to Burlington, with a marginal risk south of that line.
Another round of strong to borderline severe storms could develop Sunday afternoon, with hail and damaging winds possible. Currently, there is a marginal severe weather risk along and east of a line from Harveyville to Emporia to Teterville.
