Early indications are the United Way’s Small Business Blitz did well earlier this week.
United Way of the Flint Hills Director Mickey Edwards says over $9,000 was initially collected. She says small business support is critical to the success of the ongoing fundraising campaign.
This year’s campaign goal is $475,000. A current update is not immediately available.
The United Way’s campaign benefits over 20 community partners in eight area counties. Edwards says workplace campaigns continue at this time, with specific work ahead on the Emporia State campaign because it’s one of the biggest annual donors.
