Kansas Senate President Ty Masterson has announced committee chair assignments for the 2022 legislative session beginning in January.
Emporian Jeff Longbine, who represents the 17th District, will serve as chair of the Financial Institutions and Insurance Committee. Longbine chaired the committee during the 2021 session and also served as the vice chair for the Joint Committee on Fiduciary Financial Institutions Oversight and the Joint Committee on Pensions, Investments and Benefits.
Masterson will announce vice chairs and full committee rosters at a later time.
House committee chair assignments have not been divulged.
