The Emporia State soccer team was a winner Sunday.
The Lady Hornets outscored Central Missouri 4-3 in double overtime for the win.
Hannah Woolery gave Emporia State the early lead.
Central would score 3 unanswered goals to take a 3-1 lead. Liz Palmer scored to cut the deficit to 3-2.
Aislinn Hughes tied the match with 4 seconds to play in regulation scoring off a corner kick.
Hughes would score the winner on a throw-in with less than 3 minutes to play in the 2nd overtime.
With the win, Emporia State takes over 1st place in the MIAA standings.
The Lady Hornets have 2 matches left in the regular season.
They play at Washburn Friday and Nebraska Kearney Sunday.
