Part of Lyon County’s gravel road network has reopened to traffic after heavy rainfall to start this past weekend.
The Lyon County Highway Department has opened:
*Road J between 100 and 110; between 140 and 150
*Road 150 between Kansas Highway 99 and Road J; between N and P; between P and R
*Road P between 150 and 160
Several roads remain closed due to water:
*Road 150 between R and S
*Road P between 140 and 150
*Road R between 150 and 160
The closures followed anywhere from 2-4 inches of rain just in Emporia from early Saturday.
