Approximately 20 people attended Senator, Roger Marshall’s Town Hall meeting in Emporia on Saturday.
Could it be the reason for such a small attendance was the Senator’s ground rules?
Quoting from the Gazette, Marshall “stipulated anyone wishing to voice comments or ask questions contrary to his platform was unwelcome.”
Quoting our Senator “I didn’t come here today to debate anybody or argue with anybody.”
Have you ever heard a politician say if you have questions not agreeing with my platform you are not welcome here?
Some kind of Town Meeting!
One interesting question allowed was if Senator Marshall thought “the military should be allowed to refuse all vaccines, not just the Covid-19 vaccine?”
His answer was something about “the military’s constitutional rights to mandate vaccines” and that Covid was likely not on the list of vaccines when the soldier signed up.
Wouldn’t the health and safety of all our troops make mandatory Covid vaccinations a no-brainer?
My questions for Senator Marshall would have been these: As a medical doctor can you deny that the best and quickest way to put the Covid 19 pandemic behind us is by reaching so-called Heard Immunity with at least 75% vaccinated?
And that mandates are the only way this can happen?
Oh dang! I forgot “No debating allowed at Senator Marshall’s Town Hall Meetings.”
This is Steve Sauder hoping I’ve given you Something to Think About.
