COVID-19 vaccine boosters are apparently quite popular.
On Tuesday, Flint Hills Community Health Center announced a vaccine booster clinic for Nov. 4 at the Bowyer Building. That clinic is already full, so another clinic is now on the calendar for Nov. 12 at the Fairgrounds Anderson Building. Marketing Manager Justin Ogleby is not surprised.
Both clinics will be from 9 am to 4 pm. All three approved vaccinations — Johnson & Johnson, Moderna and Pfizer — will be available for residents meeting certain criteria:
*Age 65 and older
*Age 18 and up who live in long-term care settings
*Age 18 and up who have underlying medical conditions
*Age 18 and up who work in high-risk settings
People can mix and match booster doses if they choose.
Residents wanting a booster shot through this vaccination clinic are told to schedule online at https://publichealth.lyoncounty.org/covid-vaccine-dashboard. Residents who can’t attend the special booster clinics but still want a shot can call the Flint Hills Community Health Center at 620-342-4864 to set an appointment.
