Lyon County’s active coronavirus case count continued a steady incline Friday as overall cases saw a moderate rise.
Lyon County Public Health reported 19 new cases between Wednesday and Friday putting the overall total at 5,584 cases since last March. 12 recoveries were also reported and the active case total rose from 71 to 78 with 18 of those cases considered breakthroughs.
The number of deaths remains at 90 with the number of deaths awaiting final cause information from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment still at two. Active hospitalizations were unchanged at four.
