Washburn handed the Emporia State soccer team its second loss of the season Friday night 1-0.
Washburn scored their goal in the 29th minute of play. Emporia State had chances, out shooting Washburn 24-8 and 14-6 on goal.
The Lady Hornets drop into 2nd place in the MIAA standings. They closeout the regular season Sunday at Nebraska Kearney.
