The city of Olpe will remain in a boil water advisory at least into the start of the work week.
Test results are still pending from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment after a leak developed on the main transmission line from Emporia Thursday afternoon. Water service was temporarily disrupted to the city following the break and was partially restored Thursday evening.

Olpe’s boil water advisory will continue at least into part of Sunday.
Test results from Friday could well come back Sunday. Residents of Olpe and Rural Water District No. 3 in southwest Lyon County are hoping for the all-clear to end a boil water advisory that has been in place since late Thursday afternoon after the main transmission line from Emporia developed a leak.
Emporia’s Water Treatment Department is handling the tests.
