The Emporia Granada Theatre is continuing its recent trend of world-class shows this coming Saturday with a tribute to one of the greatest musicians in history.
Elton Dan and the Rocket Band will be on the Granada stage Saturday evening. The group is a tribute band to the legendary Elton Jon and will be playing some of his greatest hits during their stop in Emporia.
Granada Theatre Director Rebeca Herrera says it’s a night you won’t want to miss.
Elton Dan and the Rocket Band is just the latest big-name act to come to the theatre in recent months and follows Eli Young Band who performed in Emporia last month. In addition to Saturday night’s show, Herrera also announced yet another upcoming band who was just recently placed on the Granada’s schedule for later this year.
The Granada’s annual Christmas show will be Emporia native and Kansas Music Hall of Famer Kelly Hunt on Dec. 10 at 7 pm. Between now and then, the Granada has even more to offer to the Emporia community including multiplatinum country music artist Sara Evans on Nov. 11 and Smells Like Nirvana on Dec. 4.
