Moderna is having issues with ramping up its coronavirus vaccine production, and those will hit Kansas next week.
The Kansas Department of Health and Environment says it can’t fulfull orders placed by counties this week for delivery next week. This follows Moderna’s Thursday announcement it was having short-tern issues producing enough vaccines to meet demand.
Lyon County Public Health Emergency Preparedness Director Jennifer Millbern says the agency had enough vaccines already in stock to continue plans for scheduled appointments at Flint Hills Community Health Center and the mass vaccination clinic Nov. 12.
Morris County has put its Moderna patients on a waiting list. Other area counties have not announced their short-term plans.
