Active coronavirus cases continue to trend upwards according to Lyon County Public Health’s latest data report.
Monday, Public Health reported 31 new cases developed over the weekend putting the overall total 5,686 since late last March. The number of recoveries was 20 pushing the active total up for the third straight reporting period to 120 cases.
This is the largest active total since 137 cases were reported Oct. 6. Of the 120 active cases 28 are considered breakthroughs.
Collectively, Public Health has identified a total of 289 breakthrough cases. Deaths remained steady at 92 with one case still pending final cause information from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment.
Active hospitalizations dipped from four to three.
