There were no major injuries following a truck/pedestrian accident, Tuesday morning.
Emporia police captain Ray Mattas says Emporia Police were sent to Emporia Middle School just before 8 Tuesday morning. A truck pulled up next to a car — stopped on the south side of the Middle School, waiting to exit onto Graphics Arts Road — and as the truck pulled up to exit a 12-year-old student ran out of the ditch to cross the exit.
The truck was still rolling and ran into the student. The student only received minor injuries and was able to return to school.
