The Kansas Jayhawks outscored Michigan State 87-74 in the Champions Classic season opener Tuesday night.
Ochai Agbaji led Kansas with a career-high 29 points. Remy Martin added 15 points and David McCormack finished with 10 points.
The first half was back and forth with 10 lead changes and 5 ties. KU never trailed in the 2nd half. Their biggest lead was by 16 points.
The Jayhawks host Tarleton State Friday night in their home opener.
