Kansas City Chiefs punter Tommy Townsend has been named the AFC Special Teams Player of the week.
Townsend averaged an impressive 56.8 yards per punt (long of 64) and landed five of his six punts inside the 20-yard-line in Sunday’s win over Green Bay.
Clyde Edwards Helaire and Kyle Long were back at practice Wednesday.
Chris Jones, Dorian O’Daniel, L’Jarius Sneed, Lucas Niang, and Mike Remmers did not practice.
The Chiefs play the Raiders Sunday night in Las Vegas.
The Chiefs are a game back of the Raiders and Chargers in the loss column in the AFC West standings.
Chiefs Coach Andy Reid says there is a lot of parity in the NFL.
